Sanded Windshield in Preparation For Varnish

This is a 38' Shelter Island Runabout, designed by Doug Zurn for Billy Joel. In this shot I am preparing the teak windshield for a fresh coat of varnish.

Fishing With Friends

This is a shot from a day at the ocean off-roading and fishing. James is in the foreground with his Dad, Darrin, in the backround.

Annet and "Kanga"

My wife, Annet, along side Kanga.

Varnished Teak Toe Rails

A view of the port side of Kanga looking forward. Notice the high gloss finish of Epifanes Varnish, a Dutch varnish that I am fond of using for high quality yacht finishes.

Varnished Teak Windshield

A view of Kanga's foredeck, with a nice view of her brightwork. Notice the teak radar mast with "wings!"

"Lobster Yacht"

Kanga is described by some in the marine industry as a, "Lobster Yacht."

Robin's Island's "Kanga"

Another shot of Kanga. She is owned by Louis Bacon, and part of the "Robin's Island Preserve" fleet located in Peconic Bay, here in eastern Long Island, New York.

Robin's Island Fleet

I like this shot of Kanga, with the landing craft, "William Weit," at dockside. You can see Robin's Island in the backround.
